NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's basketball opens regular season play tomorrow night when they host Virginia Tech at 7 p.m. at the Ted Constant Center.

The game will be broadcast live on Cox 11 and ComCast plus.

Karen Barefoot makes her debut as head coach of the Lady Monarchs. Virginia Tech head coach Dennie Wolff will also be coaching his first game for the Hokies.

Tia Lewis is the only returning starter for ODU, but also return juniors Jackie Cook and JoNiquia Guilford from last year's squad and also get back Mairi Buchan who redshirted last season.

ODU went 20-11 overall last season, finishing second in the regular season advancing to the WNIT.

The Hokies return their second and third leading scorers from last seasons team that went 11-19.

Alyssa Fenyn is the leading returning scorer at 9.4 points per game while Monet Tellier added 8.0 points a game.

The Lady Monarchs make a quick turnaround and head to Atlanta on Sunday when they take on Georgia Tech at 2 p.m.
