NORFOLK, VA--The ODU Soccer Monarchs (4-2/0-1) return home Friday night to take on the University Delaware (6-0-1/1-0) at 7 p.m. in the ODU Soccer Complex. ODU Director of Broadcasting Ted Alexander will do play-by-play for the video streamed contest with color analyst and former ODU All-American Jimmy Tanner.

TopdrawerSoccer.com selected Yannick Smith, Gideon Asante and Jordan LeBlanc asthree of the top players in the CAA.

ODU is 15th by College Soccer News, 18th by TopDrawerSoccer, 20th by the NSCAA and 25th by Soccer America. Delaware is 43rd by TopDrawerSoccer.

This is alumni weekend for the Monarchs. Lanyards will be given away to the first 300 fans. There willAlso be a last chance lottery for student tickets to the ODU-UMASS football game. Ten lucky studentswill be randomly chosen throughout the game and announced over the PA, and receive a ticket for thegame.

UD is led in scoring by CAA Rookie of the Week Roberto Gimenez who has five goals with four assists for 14 total points. He is followed by Evans Frimpong with five goals, three assists for 13 total points, andKyle Ellis has four goals. In the net, Kris Devaux has three shutouts and a 0.80 goals against average.

Both ODU and UD are averaging 2.5 goals per game.

The series: ODU leads the series, 11-3, but the Blue Hens won last year's match, 1-0 in Delaware.

The Monarchs are led in scoring by Yannick Smith with six goals, one assist for 13 total points. Three Monarchs, Chris Harmon, Gideon Asante and Tim Hopkinson are tied for the team lead in assists with three.

ODU junior goal keeper Victor Francoz has 30 saves for a .811 saves percentage and a 1.20 goals against average.
