NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's soccer returns home this Sunday to embark on a four-game homestand. The Lady Monarchs start the stand with its final non-conference match of the season on Sunday against Radford at 1 p.m.
The match will be streamed live on ODUSports.com via Monarch Media and will be broadcast by ODU Director of Broadcasting Ted Alexander, with color commentary from former Lady Monarch Colby Owen.
The contest will also be "Fan Appreciation Day", with the first 250 fans receiving a food voucher and a pair of ODU Soccer Sunglasses.
The Lady Monarchs come into the match with a mark of 2-4-1, winning two of their last three.
Lisa Bernardini leads the ODU attack with three goals and an assist while Taylor Smith has two goals. Jocelyn Weidner is tied for second on the team in points with four.
Brianna Alvarado has started every game in goal, making 29 saves and posting a 2.17 goals against average.
Radford is currently 4-2 on the season and plays at Longwood on Friday before heading to Norfolk on Sunday.
Julie Ruh'e has a team-best eight points on three goals and two assists while Chelsea Hayes is second on the team with seven points on three goals and an assist. Mary Wiley also has three goals.
Lisa Lubke is one of three keepers used by the Highlanders, she has a team-best 14 saves with a 1.67 GAA.
ODU opens Colonial Athletic Association play on Sept. 23 against George Mason at 7 p.m. The first 250 fans will receive an ODU Soccer drawstring bag while admission is free to all kids wearing their soccer jerseys.
