NORFOLK, Va. -- Sophomore running back Colby Goodwyn (Hampton, Va.) picked up the ODU Football Monarchs' second straight conference weekly award earning CAA Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading Old Dominion to a 40-17 win at Georgia State.
The sophomore carried the ball 26 times for 190 yards and a touchdown, marking the second-highest rushing total in ODU's short program history. The yardage mark is also the highest CAA Football total since New Hampshire's Dontra Peters rattled off 197 yards against Central Connecticut State Sept. 4 last season.
Goodwyn logged three rushes of 20-or-more yards in the win including a 53-yarder in the fourth quarter.
The ODU Football Monarchs, winners of seven straight, return to action this weekend hosting Hampton at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium at 6 p.m.
