NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's tennis student-athletes Joanna Dobrowolska, Diana Ivanova and Nika Khmolovska were named ITA Scholar Athletes on Tuesday.
To qualify for the Scholar Athlete award, a player must meet the following criteria: Be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters including freshman through senior year.
Dobrowolska led the Lady Monarchs this season with a 17-5 mark and was the CAA Player of the Year. She earned First-Team All-CAA honors in singles and Second-Team honors in doubles.
Ivanova went 11-9 on the year and was named Second-Team All-CAA. It is the second time in her career she has received the ITA Scholar Athlete Award.
Khmolovska earned her first ITA Scholar Athlete Award, going 7-10 in singles action, including a 6-1 mark at the No. 6 spot.
