NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University punter Jonathan Plisco was named one of the top FCS special teamers in the nation by the Sports Network.
The rising junior was one of four punters on the list that included five place kickers, four punters and six returner specialists.
Plisco has averaged 44.6 yards per punt the last two years, averaging 44.8 yards a punt as a freshman and 44.3 as a sophomore. His average during the 2010 season was good enough for second best in the nation. In his two years as ODU's punter, he has 35 punts over 50 yards.
He was an All-American as a freshman from three different publications, earning First-Team honors from the Associated Press, Second-Team accolades from The Sports Network and an Honorable Mention nod from The College Sporting News.
