PINEHURST, NC-- ODU junior Neil Henderson (North Berwick, Scotland) shot 75 today to finish 54 holes at 219just five strokes back at the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Golf Championshipsplayed at Pinehurst No. 8 course.
As a team, the Monarchs finished fifth after shooting 304 today for a three-day total of 909. UNC Wilmington captured the title at 882, 10 strokes ahead ofsecond place VCU.
Individually, Josh Brock of UNCW captured the individual medalist honors with a 214as he shot 72, 71 and 71. Rocky Khara of VCU was second three strokes back at 217.
Two other Monarchs finished in the top 25. Garth McGee (Bangor, Northern Ireland) fired 72 today to finish at 228 for a tie at 18th spot. Senior Sam Wall (Essex, England) finished 23rd with a 229 for the event.pHenderson ranked second in the event in par three scoring at 3.00 while Sam Wall wastied for fourth at 3.08. Henderson tied for fourth in par five scoring at 4.75with teammate Sam Wall. Henderson also had nine birdies which was second mostin the tournament.
