RICHMOND, Va. - Joanna Dobrowolska was named the CAA women's Tennis Player of the Year while Dobrowolska and doubles partner Melissa Esnal Olguin earned second team honors at doubles. Diana Ivanova received second-team accolades in singles.
Dobrowolska went 17-5 on the year and 6-0 in league action, playing the entire season at No. 1.
She had two separate winning streaks on the year, winning six-straight in the middle of the season and winning her final seven matches of the year.
Along with earning Player of the Year accolades, she earned first-team honors in singles action.
She was also 12-7 on the year in doubles action combined at No. 1 and No. 2.
Dobrowolska and doubles partner Esnal Olguin earned second-team honors in doubles.
The duo went 11-7 at No. 1, delivering a win over the No. 87 team from Winthrop.
Ivanova earned second-team honors in singles. She played the entire year at No. 2 finishing with a record of 11-9.
The Lady Monarchs begin CAA Tournament play Friday at 8:30 a.m. when they take on UNC Wilmington.
