LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Old Dominion women's rowing team was able to race and beat the rain moving into the Central Susquehanna Valley to take two of three races against the five-time Patriot League Champion Bucknell Bison Saturday on the Susquehanna River.
Both the Lady Monarchs' Varsity Eight and Varsity Four won their respective races against a Bucknell squad that the previous day had won six races against Delaware.
ODU's Varsity Eight had a 9.94 margin of victory over the Bison boat as the Lady Monarchs captured a winning time of 7:12.62.
The Lady Monarchs' Varsity Four meanwhile rowed to a time of 8:24.31 for nearly a 25-second victory.
Bucknell was only able to edge ODU in the Second Varsity Eight race. The Bison won the race in a time of 7:37.92 with the Lady Monarchs crossing the finishing line with a time of 8:09.30.
The Lady Monarch women's rowing team returns to action on Saturday, April 23rd at the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships in Fairfax, Va.
