NORFOLK, VA-- ODU junior shortstop Josh Wright (Bridgewater, VA.) has repeated as the CAA's Player of the Week.
Wright batted .529 (9-for-17) with three doubles, a triple, a homer, five runs scored and six RBI in ODU's 3-2 week. Batted .600 (6-for-10) with three doubles, two runs scored and two RBI as ODU won two of three from Towson over the weekend.
Wright leads the Monarchs in hitting (.328), runs scored (31), home runs (10), stolen bases (13-15), triples (4) and slugging (.723). In 15 CAA games, Wright ishitting .404 with six homers, 19 RBI and 18 runs scored.
The Monarchs (17-17) host Longwood (22-13) Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex.
