COSTA CARIBE RESORT, Puerto Rico- Old Dominion sophomore Garth McGee (Bangor, Northern Ireland) fired a final round 69 to finish at 215 and tie for ninth at the Caribbean Classic. As a team, ODU tied for fourth with St. John's University at 868.
McGee shot 73 in the first and second rounds then added the 69 today to finish-1 under. Teammate Sam Wall (Essex, England) , a senior shot 74 today to finish at 217 and tied for 19th.
Sophomore Thomas Wilde (Berkshire,England) tied for 21st at 218 while junior Neil Henderson (North Berwick, Scotland) tied for 24th at 219. Hendersonshot 73 today.
Adam Goins of USC Upstate won the individual crown by three strokes with a 209 and seven under. USC Upstate also won the team title with an 847 score.
ODU returns to action March 11-13 at Pinehurst Intercollegiate in Pinehurst, NC.
