NORFOLK, Va. -- Senior diver David Skorupa's (Richmond, Va.) season continues this weekend at the NCAA Zone Meet at Lejeune Hall at the United State Naval Academy taking place March 11th-13th.

35 men's divers earn the right to go to the NCAA Championships from five regional zones. Divers from Zone A, which include competitors from Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia, will be battling for one of four guaranteed spots to the NCAA Championships.

Skorupa captured a season best on the 1 meter in the Monarchs' meet with William & Mary and the College of Charleston, capturing a score of 296.90. In late February at the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships, the senior Monarch diver placed fourth on the 3 meter, scoring a career best 323.50.

Skorupa is the first Monarch diver to head off to the NCAA qualifiers since current assistant coach Noah Scully went to zones in 2006 and 2008.
