NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's tennis won the doubles point but was unable to hang on as Brown defeated the Lady Monarchs 4-3 Tuesday evening at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
Diana Ivanova and Juliana Pires delivered an 8-6 win at the number two spot while Joanna Dobrowolska and Melissa Esnal Olguin clinched the win wit a 9-7 triumph at number one.
Pires gave ODU its first win at the number four spot with a hard fought 3-6, 6-2, (10-8) victory.
Dobrowolska got the Lady Monarchs' only other singles win with a 7-6, 7-5 victory at number one.
