NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's tennis delivered its first 7-0 victory of the season, dominating Delaware Monday at the Folkes-Stevens Indoor Tennis Center.
The Lady Monarchs earned the doubles point with wins at number one and two doubles. Joanna Dobrowolska and Melissa Esnal Olguin won at 8-5 at the top spot while Diana Ivanova and Juliana Pires were victorious at number two.
ODU won all six singles matches, started off by Dobrowolska at the top spot, 6-2, 6-2. Ivanova was a 6-3, 6-3 winner while Esnal Olguin cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 win at number three.
Pires pulled out a 6-2, 3-6 (10-8) win at number four while Margarita Belyakova took care of Olivia Heaim 6-0 Heim at number five while Nika Khmolovska was a decisive 6-3, 6-0 winner at number six.
The Lady Monarchs are back in action tomorrow when they host Brown at 1 p.m.
