Women's Lacrosse Heads to Virginia Tech on Saturday

NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's lacrosse hits the road to take on Virginia Tech on Saturday at 1 p.m.

ODU (1-4) is coming off a 15-11 loss to Longwood while the Hokies are 6-4 on the year and dropped a 21-8 decision to No. 16 William and Mary on Wednesday.

The Lady Monarchs are led by Lisa Bernardini who leads the team with 15 goals and six assists. She ranks third in the CAA in goals per game and is tied for 26th nationally. She is also sixth in the conference in assists per game. Sarah Wright and Rebecca Hartrum are tied for second on the team with six goals and three assists apiece while Wright is second in the CAA in draw controls per game, she has 16 draw controls on the year.

Sarah Geary has played every minute in goal for ODU and is second in the CAA in saves per game at 10.8 and fifth in save percentage at .466.

Allie Emala leads Virginia Tech with 34 points on 22 goals and 12 assists while Jessica Nonn leads the team with 25 goals.

Alex Gale has seen the majority of time in goal and posts a 5-3 record and 63 saves.

ODU returns to the Powhatan Sports Complex on Wednesday, March 30 to take on Virginia.
