ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Senior Monarch diver David Skorupa (Richmond, Va.) finished 30th out of a field of 47 on the 1 meter on day one of NCAA Zone Diving.
The first Monarch to appear at Zones since 2008 performed a forward 2 ½ somersault pike, inward 2 ½ somersault tuck, back 2 ½ somersault tuck, back 1 ½ somersault 1 ½ twist, reverse 2 ½ somersault tuck, and a forward 3 ½ somersault tuck scoring 240.35 points.
Skorupa returns to action on Saturday in the prelims of the 3 meter.
