RICHMOND, VA-- ODU senior center Frank Hassell has been named CAA Co-Player of the Week for the fourth time this year. Te 6-9 Hassell averaged 19.5 ppg and 11.0 rpg in ODU's victories over James Madison and William & Mary. Had back-to-back double-doubles with 21 points and 10 boards at JMU and 18 points and 12 rebounds at W&M. Shot 71.4% (15-21) from the floor and also made three steals.
Co-Player of the Week: Charles Jenkins, Sr., Hofstra - Averaged 21.5 ppg and 4.5 apg as Hofstra extended its CAA win streak to six with victories over UNCW and Delaware. Scored 22 points at UNCW and had 21 points, four assists, four steals and no turnovers versus Delaware and now has 22 20-point games this season.
The Monarchs open the CAA Tournament on Saturday night at 6 p.m. against the winnerof the Delaware-Northeastern contest.
