Lady Monarchs Begin Week on the Road At George Mason Thursday

NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion women's basketball team will be looking for its fifth straight road win Thursday as the Lady Monarchs travel to Fairfax to take on George Mason at 7 p.m. The Lady Monarchs (14-6, 8-1 CAA) have won three consecutive games overall and eight of their last nine.

The contest can be heard on ESPN Radio 94.1 FM with play-by-play provided by Tony Mercurio and color analysis from Jenn Nuzzo.

Thursday's game will be the second matchup of the season between ODU and Mason. The Lady Monarchs topped the Patriots at home on January 6, 70-66. Junior Tia Lewis posted a season-high 24 points in the win.

George Mason (10-10, 4-5 CAA) has won three of its last four games, including wins over Drexel and Delaware. The Patriots are 7-3 at home this year and 2-2 in CAA home games.

Brittany Poindexter (11.8 ppg) and Taleia Moton (11.5 ppg) lead GMU in the scoring department, while Angelee LaTouche's 6.4 rebounds a game pace Mason on the boards.

The Patriots rank first in the CAA in scoring defense, holding their opponents to just 56.5 points per game. The Patriots are also second in the league in both turnover margin (+1.9) and rebounding defense (34.7).
