ODU leads, 13-2. The two teams played back on Jan. 26 in Atlanta with ODU winning, 51-48

Hassell led ODU with 15 points and five rebounds in the game. ODU shot just .364 (16-44) from the

floor while the Panthers shot .415 (17-41). Javonte Maynor scored 11 and Donte Curry added 10

points for GSU. GSU's two wins over ODU came in 1977-78 at the Norfolk Scope and 2008-09 in

Atlanta.Co-Player of the Week: Frank Hassell, Old Dominion - Averaged 19.5 ppg and 11.0 rpg while shooting 68% from the floor in ODU's two conference road victories. Had 21 points and 11 rebounds in a 16-point victory at William & Mary and followed with 18 points and 11 boards in a 70-59 triumph at VCU, ending the Rams' 22-game home court winning streak.

The Monarchs defeated arch-rival VCU, 70-59 in the Siegel Center Saturday as Frank Hassell scored 18 with

11 rebounds and Ben Finney added 15 points , 11 rebounds and six assists. ODU dominated the boards, 46-21

Holding the Rams to just five offensive rebounds. ODU shot .483 (28-58) from the floor while VCU was .373 (19-51).

This was the Monarchs second win in the Siegel Center, with the first coming in the 2007-08 season. Brandon

Rozelle led VCU with 15 points off the bench. ODU, which ranks 7th nationally in scoring defense (58.3 ppg), has held 14 opponents to under 60 points. ODU out-rebounded its foes by an average of 24.0 rpg last week and only gave up six offensive boards.
