TOWSON, Md. - The Old Dominion women's basketball team opens Colonial Athletic Association play Sunday at Towson. The Lady Monarchs (6-5) will be looking for their first true road win of the season.

Old Dominion is coming off a pair of hard fought games at the Double Tree Classic in New Orleans, La. The Lady Monarchs split the contests, upending Charlotte in the semifinals before falling to host Tulane by three in the championship game.

Five Lady Monarchs scored in double figures in the win over Charlotte, led by Jasmine Parker's 16. Junior Tia Lewis pulled down a career-high tying 17 rebounds to go along with a team-high 13 points in the loss to Tulane. Lewis is averaging 16.3 points and 11.0 rebounds over her last three games.

Old Dominion, which has played the 16th most difficult schedule in the country according to CollegeRPI.com, is a perfect 19-0 all-time in CAA season openers.

Towson (6-5) is coming off a 55-41 win against Delaware State on December 29. The Tigers are led by Sheree Ledbetter's 11.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

Old Dominion is 14-1 all-time against Towson, but the Tigers won the squads last meeting in Norfolk on March 3, 2010.
