RICHMOND, Va. - Senior Jasmine Parker was selected as the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week, the league announced today. The guard shares the award with Hofstra's Shante Evans.
Parker averaged 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 steals in ODU's two games last week. The Lady Monarchs (3-1) fell in a nail-biter at NC State before rebounding to top Louisville at home on Friday.
Parker tied her career-high with 24 points in ODU's 69-65 win over the Cardinals. The senior also led the squad with 23 points and tied her career-high with six steals at NC State.
Old Dominion returns to the hardwood Tuesday at Florida. The contest will tip at 7 p.m. from the Stephen O'Connell Center in Gainesville, Fla.
