CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Old Dominion field hockey team saw its season come to and end Sunday afternoon as the second-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels topped the Lady Monarchs, 5-1, in the NCAA Tournament second round.

Old Dominion ends the year with a 13-11 overall record, five wins over nationally-ranked opponents and its 14th Colonial Athletic Association Title.

North Carolina (21-2) advances to the Final Four in College Park, Md. where it will look to defend its national title.

Old Dominion hadn't let up a goal in over 303 consecutive minutes until UNC's Jaclyn Radvany registered the Tar Heels first goal in the 29th minute to break a scoreless tie.

The Lady Monarchs would trail by a single goal entering intermission, but UNC would post four straight scores in the second half to go up 5-0.

ODU sophomore Maartje van Rijswijk would tally a late goal, her 16th of the season, to end UNC's shutout bid.
