NORFOLK, VA--The ODU Soccer Monarchs (5-3-2/ 1-1-2) travel to Wilmington, NC to take on defending CAA Champion Seahawks of UNCW at 7 p.m. Saturday night.
The Seahawks (7-3/3-0) are led in scoring by Sophomore midfielder Etienne Boulanger with five goals, one assist for 11 points. Junior Shaun Utterson and Seph Babington lead in assists with two each.UNCW defeated No. 25 James Madison Wednesday night, 2-1.
ODU leads the series 14-6-1. Last year, the two teams tied 0-0 in Norfolk, but the Seahawks beat the Monarchs, 1-0 in the CAA quarterfinals played at UNCW.
Chris Harmon continues to lead the team in scoring with three goals, two assists for eight points. Gideon Asante has three goals and one assist, followed by Jordan LeBlanc with two goals and one assist. Yannick Smith also has two assists. In the net, Evan Newton has a 0.63 goals against average and 37 saves with three shutouts. Harmon also leads the team with three gamewinning goals.
After Saturday's match with UNCW, the Monarchs are off until the following Saturday, Oct. 16 when they host Towson.
