RICHMOND, Va. - Senior midfielder Loran Hatch was selected as the Colonial Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. Additionally, the Old Dominion field hockey team moved up in the latest NFHCA Poll to No. 19.
Hatch (Green Lane, Pa.) put forth a remarkable week statistically, recording her first career hat trick and totaling five goals in just two games.
The midfielder tallied a career-high three scores in a 6-0 win against Delawere on October 1 and then posted two more goals in an 8-0 Lady Monarch win against Towson on October 3.
Hatch ranks second in the CAA and leads the team with 11 goals on the year.
Drexel's Christina Mastropaolo shares the award with Hatch.
Hatch and the Lady Monarchs will next face a tough road trip that includes stops at No. 20 Drexel and Hofstra. The Top 20 battle against the Dragons is set for Friday at 7 p.m.
