NORFOLK, VA--ESPN.com has selected Old Dominion University junior guard Kent Bazemore (Kelford, NC) as one of the nation's top 20 defenders.
Bazemore tied for first in the CAA with a 1.9 steals per game average and a total of 67 for the entire season. The complete list is on this link:

Bazemore had a season high of six steals in a game against Georgia State and four in a game against Towson, Drexel, Delaware and Northeastern.
Last year, Bazemore was named to the CAA's All-Defensive squad, CollegeInsiders.com All-American Defensive team and the CAA All-Tournament squad.
Bazemore averaged 8.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game in 36 games played. He helped lead the Monarchs to a 27-9 record, the CAAregular season and tournament championship as well as the second round of the NCAA tournament.
The Monarchs will preview the 2010-11 season on Oct. 23rd with the annual Blue-White scrimmage at 12 noon.
