Plisco, Gill Honored By College Football Performance Awards

NORFOLK, Va. -- Punter Jonathan Plisco (Newport News, Va.) and wide receiver Prentice Gill (Los Angeles, Calif.) were recognized by the College Football Performance Awards CFPA this week.

Plisco earned his third Punter of the Week honor by the CFPA after averaging 51.5 yards, including a long of 59, in his four punts against the #14/16 Mustangs last Saturday. Plisco continues lead to the nation in punting averaging 46.9 yards per punt.

Gill meanwhile was named the CFPA Wide Receiver of the Week after capturing 133 yards on five catches. To date, Gill is the Monarchs' leading receiver averaging 79.2 yards per game and 18.3 yards per catch along with three touchdowns. He ranks 25th in the nation in receiving yards per game.
