NORFOLK, Va. - Members of the Old Dominion University women's basketball and sailing teams participated in reading for the "Books on Tape" event Thursday afternoon at the Perry Library.
The Center for Service and Civic Engagement is hosting "Books on Tape" as part of their MAKE.YOUR.MARK Week.
Members of both teams volunteered to read a few books and their voices were recorded and will be put on a compact discs. Those discs will then be sent to local Larchmont Elementary School where children will be able to utilize the compact discs to help them learn to read.
