NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's soccer concludes its first week of fall camp with an exhibition match on Wednesday, Aug. 11 versus Richmond at 7 p.m. at the ODU Soccer Complex.
The Lady Monarchs have been off to a good start in camp, working on various drills in preparation for the upcoming season.
ODU is coming off of a 7-8-5 2009 season and returns its top three returning scorers in sophomore Ashlee Coutu, junior Victoria Johnson and senior Kirstin Walker.
As well as returning its three leading scorers, ODU brings back seven starters and all of its all-CAA honorees from last season. Senior Ashley Kukura and junior Lisa Bernardini joined Coutu and Walker on the all-CAA squad.
Richmond went 8-10-2 last season, returning its top two leading scorers, sophomores Shondel Archer and Natalie LeClair.
The Lady Monarchs travel to George Washington on Tuesday, Aug. 17 for their final exhibition match before hosting Syracuse in the regular-season opener on Sunday, Aug. 22 at 1 p.m.
