NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion lacrosse team returns home for a pair of non-conference games this weekend, hosting Louisville on Friday at 4 p.m. and No. 3 North Carolina on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Louisville will be the first BIG EAST school ODU has played since the Lady Monarchs squared off against Rutgers at the beginning of the 2008 season. UNC will be the third ACC squad Old Dominion has matched up against this year.

The Lady Monarchs (2-4) fell 22-7 at No. 4 Virginia Wednesday despite getting a career-high tying three goals from senior Saratu Dodo. ODU led early, 3-2, but UVA exploded for eight consecutive goals to put the game out of reach.

Louisville (5-3) will be playing its seventh straight road game on Friday. The Cardinals are led by Bergan Foley's 35 goals. Katie Oliverio leads UofL with 20 assists.

North Carolina (8-1) has defeated three ranked opponents in 2010 and its only blemish is a 13-12 overtime loss at Virginia on March 13. Six Tar Heels have registered over 20 points, including Becky Lynch's team-high 30.

Old Dominion has never faced Louisville and is 0-6 all-time against UNC. The Tar Heels topped the Lady Monarchs 16-9 last year in Chapel Hill.
