NORFOLK, Va. -- This weekend, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its updated rankings, seeing Old Dominion junior Nadine Fahoum (Haifa, Israel) jump six spots in the national poll, now 15th in the nation. She is the highest ranked Lady Monarch since her assistant coach played at ODU, Nataly Cahana-Fleishman, who ranked as high as fourth in the country.

Fahoum is currently undefeated in the spring dual season, all at the No. 1 slot. She is a perfect 12-0 in duals and has gone 27-3 overall in 2009-10. She is the top-ranked female tennis player in the Atlantic region, 23 spots ahead of Virginia's #38 Lindsey Hardenbergh, who she will most likely face this weekend.

As a team, the Lady Monarchs slipped eight spots to #68 in the country. They will be back in action this weekend as they host Iowa State on Saturday, February 27 at 10:00 a.m. before traveling to #23 Virginia for a 6:00 p.m. match on Sunday.
