BOSTON, Mass. -- The ODU women's basketball team (3-8, 1-0 CAA) will conclude their four-game road swing tomorrow evening, at Northeastern University (5-7, 0-1 CAA) with tip set for 5:00 p.m. ODU has won seven straight games against the Huskies to open the all-time series, including a pair of regular season wins last season.

The Lady Monarchs opened the new decade and the 2009-2010 CAA season with a one-point victory at Delaware last Sunday, 60-59. Junior Jasmine Parker led the way, taking a crucial charge and added another steal in the waning minutes before knocking down the eventual game-winning three-pointer. She is third on the team in scoring, averaging 10.2 points per game. Parker is also among the league's best thiefs, averaging a CAA-high 2.7 steals per game.

ODU has been led by the duo of junior Shadasia Green and sophomore Tia Lewis. Both have taken turns atop the scoring leaderboard for ODU, as Green currently leads the squad with 13.1 points per game. Lewis is second on the team with 12.9 points per game and she is also the team-leader in rebounding with 8.5 per contest. She also ranks third in the league in rebounding.

Northeastern also features one of the league's top steal threats, in Brittany Wilson (averaging 2.7 steals per game). Wilson is also the teams leader in scoring (17.1 ppg) and rebounding (6.8 rpg). The Huskies are currently riding a five-game losing streak after opening the year 5-2.

Today's Game:
All-Time Series: ODU is a perfect 7-0 against the Huskies including a pair of victories in 2009. ODU traveled to Boston in January, earning a 66-56 victory at Solomon Court and then won the 70-54 matchup at the Constant Center in February. ODU has faced NU in Boston each of the last four years, winning the previous three by an average of 19.3 points per game.

About the Huskies: Northeastern was off to a hot start, winning five of their first seven games, but has since dropped five straight to drop to 5-7 overall, 0-1 in CAA action. The Huskies played in three straight overtime contests, winning at Holy Cross before falling at Harvard and Hartford in early December. Northeastern has also won against Massachusetts, Army, Rhode Island and at Delaware State.

Sophomore guard Brittany Wilson has been the key cog for Northeastern's offense, scoring 17.1 points per game for the Huskies. Averaging over 33 minutes on the floor, Wilson is also the team leader in rebounding (6.8 per game), steals (2.7 per game) and is second on the team in assists (2.3 per game).

Kendra Walton has started all 12 games and is also averaging double figures for Northeastern, with 10.9 points per game. She is hauling in 5.5 rebounds per game and is also adding a block per contest.

As a team, Northeastern features an aggressive defensive set leading to 121 steals this season. Wilson leads the way, tied with ODU's own Jasmine Parker for steals per game with 2.7. NU has forced 237 turnovers this season, an average of 19.8 per game.

Still Toughest Schedule in the CAA
Old Dominion's schedule is the toughest in the CAA, and among the strongest in the country. After closing out the non-conference schedule, Old Dominion had the fifth toughest schedule in the nation. The Lady Monarchs RPI is also listed as #101 after the first 11 games. Both numbers come from rpiratings.com's weekly report.

1200 And Counting...
With the non-conference finale against Tennessee, the Lady Monarchs reached 1200 games played in the history of the program. ODU joins a select group of just eight programs to play 1200 games in their histories. They are Tennessee Tech, Tennessee, Stephen F. Austin, Long Beach State, Kansas State, James Madison, and Hofstra. ODU ranks second in winning percentage among these eight teams, going 892-308 over the past 41 years for a .743 success rate.

Senior Moments
ODU has just one senior this season, First Team Preseason All-CAA forward Jessica Canady. Canady has been working her way back from offseason surgery and has now started two straight games after being forced to sit through half of the non-conference schedule. The Lady Monarch senior has breached the 800-point plateau and is nearing 550 career rebounds. Canady was a reserve player her freshman year, scoring only 92 points, making her 808 career all the more impressive, averaging 11.0 points per game since her sophomore season.

A Rare Occurrence
ODU lost to Tennessee by a final score of 102-62 in the non-conference finale this season, marking just the sixth time in program history the Lady Monarchs allowed a team to reach 100 points.

17 Again...
Sophomore forward Tia Lewis tied her career-high with 17 rebounds against Ole Miss, taking over the top spot in the CAA with 9.2 rebounds per game. Lewis had 17 in a game against North Florida during her freshman year while playing for Central Florida and the 17 hauled in against Mississippi tied that mark for the first time as a Lady Monarch. She also posted her first double-double in the game, scoring 15 points for Old Dominion.

On the Road Again
The game against St. Joe's on December 22 kicked off a four-game road swing spanning over two weeks as ODU will face the Hawks and Tennessee to wrap up the non-conference slate and will kick off the CAA schedule at Delaware and Northeastern.

Stop! Thief!
Jasmine Parker is leading the CAA in steals this season, averaging 2.7 per game and 30 thefts. The ODU junior now has 126 career steals, averaging 1.6 per game in her career.
