NORFOLK, VA--The ODU Monarch Cagers host Elizabeth City State Saturday night at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in a 7:00 p.m. start.
This will be the second and final exhibition of the season for the Monarchs who open the regularSeason on Sunday, Nov. 15 against Bethune-Cookman.
The Monarchs defeated Barton in the first exhibition, 91-62 as every Monarch who played scored atleast one point. Kent Bazemore led all scorers with 17 points and three steals, while Frank Hassell scored 15 along with a game high 13 rebounds. Darius James dished out six assists and, while Hassell blocked four shots and Gerald Lee and Bazemore swatted three shots each.
The Vikings are members of the CIAA where last season they were 21-7 overall and 13-5 in The league. ECSU will be led by 6-3 junior guard Trent Bivens (11.4 ppg/ 4.4 rpg).
ODU assistant coach John Richardson is a 1995 graduate of ECSU where he received a degree in health and physical education with a minor in biology.
Tickets for the game are $13 for adults, $9 for youth, senior citizens, military, and ODU faculty staff.
