CANCUN, MEXICO -- Old Dominion is set to play RV/RV Syracuse (4-0) tomorrow night to help kick off the 2009 Cancun Thanksgiving Classic in Cancun, Mexico. Tip is set for 8:15 p.m. (EST) and will be broadcast live on ESPN Radio 94.1 FM.
The Lady Monarchs arrived in Mexico on Tuesday and will play two games in Cancun as a part of the in-season tournament presented by Sport Tours International. After Old Dominion plays Syracuse on Thursday, the Lady Monarchs will face RV/RV Louisville on Saturday night at 8:15 p.m. (EST).
Jasmine Parker continues to lead Old Dominion offensively, with 16.3 points per game, while Shadasia Green is also in double figures with 10.3 per contest. Green is also second on the team with 6.3 rebounds per game while sophomore Tia Lewis is leading the team, averaging 6.7.
Syracuse has jumped to a 4-0 start this season, led by Nicole Michael, averaging a double-double with 19.8 points per game and 10.3 rebounds. She has knocked down 16 three-pointers, shooting over 55% from deep.

All-Time Series -- Old Dominion holds a 7-3 advantage in the all-time series against Syracuse, but have not played the Orange in nine years. The Lady Monarchs won two of the last three games against Syracuse with two of the games being decided by just one point. This will be the fourth time the two teams have matched up during an in-season tournament

ODU hasn't faced the Orange since the 2000-01 season with Old Dominion falling in an 84-85 overtime decision. Paula Moore hit a jumper with five seconds remaining to win in double overtime over the then 18th ranked Lady Monarchs in the 2000-01 home opener. Hamchetou Maiga, a CAA 25th Anniversary Team honoree, poured in 24 points while Okeisha Howard and Tiffany Thompson had 16 and 13 each.
