The ODU Monarchs host the Longwood Lancers Tuesday at 7 p.m.in the Ted Constant Convocation Center. ODU and Longwood last played each other during the 2004-05 season.

Today's game with Longwood is part of the South Padre

Island Invitational, as was last Sunday's game with Bethune-Cookman.

Teams participating in the Tournament include: ODU, Longwood, Bethune Cookman

Chattanooga, UT Pan American, Mississippi State, Richmond, and Missouri.

ODU will play Missouri in round three on Nov. 27 and then either Mississippi State or Richmond in the Championship round on Nov. 28. Games in South Padre will be televised on Fox College Sports.

LAST GAME

The Monarchs opened the regular season with a 69-38 victory over Bethune-Cookman.

Gerald Lee and Kent Bazemore each scored ten points each for ODU as all 11 Monarchs

who played scored. ODU's defense, which ranked 19th nationally last year picked up where it left off, holding BC to just 15 second half points. ODU outrebounded BC 39-22,

and committed only nine turnovers. ODU won both of their exhibition games.
