Check out junior Lady Monarch Nadine Fahoum's blog as she sets to play in the 2009 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships with teammate Joanna Dobrowolska (Asia) and coach Nataly Cahan-Fleishman. The Old Dominion crew is headed to the beautiful Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. Nadine's blog today is set the day before competition, Monday October 5.
Hello again everyone,
It's one day before my tournament and I am very excited. I woke up at 5:45 a.m. because of the time change. That was definitely too early, so I went back to sleep til 7:30 a.m.
We practiced at 9:00 a.m. at the UCLA tennis court. Right after practice we went to visit my friend at Pepperdine University. That was a very nice trip and believe me when I say, the view there was beautiful.
We had another practice when we came back as we prepare for this week's tournament. At the end of our second practice we got to play a few games against another doubles team from SMU.
When we came back to our host family's house we had a good dinner, and now I just need to organize my bag for tomorrow, study a bit, and go to sleep.
Good night, all!
