NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion field hockey senior back Hanna Warren (Green Lane, Pa.) was selected to the womensfieldhockey.com Honor Roll, it was announced today. The Lady Monarchs also returned to the womensfieldhockey.com national poll at the No. 19 spot after a one week absence.
In the latest National Field Hockey Coaches Association Poll, ODU was the top team in the receiving vote's category.
Warren anchored a Lady Monarch defense that put forth two of its best games of the season this past weekend. ODU won a pair of conference games, shutting out VCU 3-0, before knocking off No. 9 James Madison 2-1. Both games were on the road. In addition to her stellar defensive play, Warren also dished out her seventh assist of the season against the Rams.
Joining Warren on the Honor Roll are Aisling Coyle of Ohio State, Rachel Miller of Kent State, Katelin Peterson of Richmond, Paige Selenski of Virginia, Holly Sherman of Michigan State and Kristine Stigas of Boston College. Alicia Grater of Maryland was named the Division I Player of the Week.
Old Dominion will return home Saturday, Oct. 31 to play its final non-conference game of the season against No. 2 North Carolina. The contest, beginning at 1 p.m., will be the Lady Monarchs annual scholarship game.
