RICHMOND, Va. - Senior goalkeeper Kelly Driscoll (West Chester, Pa.) was named the Colonial Athletic Association field hockey Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. Driscoll allowed only one goal in a pair of Lady Monarch road victories this past weekend.
On Friday, Driscoll tallied five saves and recorded her 25th career shutout in the Lady Monarchs' 3-0 win at VCU. The West Chester, Pa., native followed that up on Sunday with a four-save performance in a 2-1 triumph at 9th-ranked James Madison.
Drexel goalkeeper Jenna Phillips was chosen as the CAA Rookie of the Week.
Driscoll and the Lady Monarchs will return home Saturday, Nov. 1 to host No. 2 North Carolina for a 1 p.m. non-conference game at the Powhatan Sports Complex.
