NORFOLK, Va. -- The Lady Monarch soccer team will play host to the George Mason Patriots in a crucial CAA match on Sunday afternoon, with kick-off slated for 1:00 p.m. Both teams are battling for a spot in the 2009 CAA Tournament, as just the top four teams in the league will earn a bid. Mason is currently fifth in the league with 14 points after a huge win on Friday night against William & Mary, while the Lady Monarchs trail by just one point headed into Sunday's game.

Junior Omolyn Davis scored a hat trick, including the gamewinning goal in overtime on Friday night to push the Patriots over the top against the Tribe. The win vaulted George Mason ahead of both William & Mary and ODU, as the Lady Monarchs would settle for a 0-0 tie against Towson.

Davis is one of the offensive leaders for George Mason, scoring 10 goals and adding six assists this season for a team-high 26 points. Tiana Kallenberger also has 24 points, while Kelly Keelan has 18 and Theresa DeLucca 16. The 12-4-2 team is an offensive juggernaut, scoring over 2.5 goals per game while allowing less than one per contest.

In goal, freshman Katie Frey has started 15 games allowing just 13 goals and saving 63 shots on frame. Her goals against average is 0.80 and save percentage is .829.

The Lady Monarchs counter with a talented rookie goalkeeper of their own, Bri Alvarado. The Cincinnati native has six shutouts this season and has her goals against average down to 0.72, ranking her second in the conference.

Offensively, Ashlee Coutu has done the bulk of the scoring for Old Dominion this season, scoring nine goals and leading the team with 22 points.

Kick off for the game, integral in the CAA postseason picture, is set for 1:00 p.m. at the ODU Soccer Stadium. Live stats will be available at odusports.com
