NORFOLK, VA-- Six different Monarchs scored in double figures in the annualOld Dominion University Blue-White game at the Ted Constant Convocation CenterFriday Night.
Kent Bazemore and Keyon Carter led all scorers with 15 points each. Gerald Lee, the pre-season CAA Co-Player of the Yearadded 14 points and nine rebounds, while Marquel De Lancey scored 11 with six rebounds and four assists and Ben Finney, an honorable mention pre-season All-CAA selection added 11 points with four boards andtwo blocked shots. Freshman Josh Hicks scored 10 points with three rebounds.
Junior Darius James scored seven points with six rebounds, four assists and foursteals. Marsharee Neely scored nine points with four assists on the night.
Overall, the Monarchs shot .424 (39-92) from the floor, and hit .688 (22-32) fromthe line.
Gerald Lee was 7-10 from the field, Kent Bazemore was 7-11, Keyon Carter was 6-10and newcomer Josh Hicks was 4-8. Hicks hit 2-3 from beyond the arc.
Keyon Carter led with three blocked shots, followed by Kent Bazemore and Ben Finneywith two each.
The Monarchs return to action on Monday, Nov. 2 when they host Barton College inan exhibition game at the Constant Center. Game time is 7 p.m.
