RICHMOND, Va. (October 22, 2009) -The Colonial Athletic Association has announced its Silver Anniversary team in women's swimming and diving, which includes 14 former CAA Swimmers of the Year and three CAA Divers of the Year.
As part of its 25th Anniversary celebration in 2009-10, the CAA is recognizing Silver Anniversary teams in 21 championship sports. The teams are selected by a panel of current and former head coaches in the conference.
Members of the CAA Silver Anniversary team for women's swimming and diving are:
Mary Kay Bolduc (Old Dominion), Meredith Bridgers (East Carolina), Meredith Budner (Towson), Mary Campioli (George Mason), Gabriella C'sepe (American), Jamie D'Agostino (Old Dominion), Jane DePalo (Old Dominion), Kara Fichthorn (Old Dominion), Amy Hendrick (East Carolina), Kate Hynes (Drexel), Jennifer Irby (Towson), Stacia Johnson (Navy), Liz Lebherz (Towson), Erin McDonnell (James Madison), Louise Middlemore (George Mason), Ruth Anne Miller (William & Mary), Kate Milling (UNC Wilmington), Katie Radloff (William & Mary), Jamye Stickney (Old Dominion), Lauren Stinnett (George Mason), Adrienne Sutton (UNC Wilmington), Lottie Swanson (James Madison), Cindy Walker (James Madison), Sue Wager (Richmond) and Debbie Williams (Navy).
Women's swimming and diving has been part of the CAA since the league began in 1985-86 and the conference has featured athletes who have performed well on a national and international level. James Madison has won a league-high six CAA championships (1986, 1987, 1993, 1994, 1995, 2001), while East Carolina (1995, 1996, 1997, 2000) and George Mason (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005) have captured four conference titles. Navy (1988, 1989, 1990) and UNC Wilmington (1998, 1999, 2006) own three CAA crowns. Towson (2008, 2009) and American (1991, 1992) claimed back-to-back league championships, while William & Mary won its only CAA crown in 2007.

Gabriella C'sepe - American - 1992-95 - Hungary
· Named CAA Swimmer of the Year in 1992, 1994 and 1995

· Swam for Hungary in the 1988 and 1992 Olympics in the 100 and 200 breaststroke
