SAVANNAH, GA.-- Paced by the play of Sam Wall and Eric Onesi, the ODU Monarchsfinished fourth at the Mizuno Savannah Intercollegiate Tournament.
Wall and Onesi shot 73 in the final round. Wall finished tied for fifth with a 213,while Onesi tied for ninth with a 215. Tory Henderson tied for 25th at 221, and TomWilde tied for 36th at 224 after shooting 75 today.
David Watkins of East Carolina won the event with a 205. ECU also won the teamtitle at 852. The Monarchs finished at 873.
Wall was third inthe tournament in par 4 scoring, while as a team, ODU was fifth in par 4 scoring (4.18) and third in par five scoring at 4.80> ODU ranked second toEast Carolina with 180 total pars. Sam Wall was tied for fouth in the tournamentwith 13 total birdies.
ODU hosts the 30th annual Seascape Collegiate at Kitty Hawk's Seascape courseOct. 26 and 27.
