NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion field hockey team, which has won three consecutive games, moved up to No. 12 in the latest National Field Hockey Coaches Association Poll, released Tuesday. The Lady Monarchs received 406 total points and are one of three Colonial Athletic Association teams to be ranked.

Old Dominion remained at No. 9 in this week's womensfieldhockey.com poll. The Lady Monarchs are the highest ranked CAA team in this poll.

Old Dominion (5-5) posted its second 2-0 week of the season after topping league rival Northeastern on Friday before upending Boston University on Sunday. The Lady Monarchs dominated the contest against the Huskies, winning 3-1. Senior Katie Ueberroth dished out a career-high three assists in the win.

Against BU, a late goal by Ueberroth sent the game into overtime and a Loran Hatch score would be the decider as the Lady Monarchs won a 2-1 double overtime decision.

Other CAA schools joining ODU in the rankings are Drexel (11) and James Madison (15). Delaware, Northeastern and VCU also received votes in the poll. The next poll will be released on Tuesday, October 6.

Old Dominion will play its first CAA road game of the season on Friday, traveling to Delaware. The Blue Hens have won seven straight games.
