CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Junior women's tennis players Nadine Fahoum and Joanna Dobrowolska will play together Sunday morning for third place in doubles action and then will both play for third place in singles action at the UVa Fall Invitational. Both Lady Monarchs won two matches before dropping their third in semifinal action in singles action and paired for one victory in doubles.

Fahoum, in 'A' Singles, opened the tournament with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over South Carolina's Miljana Jocic. She then faced NC State's 83rd ranked senior Berkeley Brock, winning in straight sets again, 6-4, 6-4. UVa's Lindsey Hardenbaugh forced Fahoum to default in the semifinals, though, and the Lady Monarch will play in the third place match against NC State sophomore Sandhya Nagaraj on Sunday.

Dobrowolska played in 'B' Singles and got a first round bye followed by a win over William & Mary senior Lauren Sabacinski after the Tribe player had to retire in the second set. Marshall University junior Catherine Kellner defeated the ODU junior after a long battle, 7-5, 1-6, 6-3. She will face Marshall's Kristina Koprcina at 11:45 am on Sunday.

In 'A' Doubles action, Fahoum and Dobrowolska won their first matchup over Wolfpack duo Tatiana Illova and Daria Petrovic by a final score, 8-4. They stretched UVa pair Stevens/Tomljanovic to 14 games, but were dropped 8-6. The Lady Monarch tandem will return to action for the third place battle against Marshall's Michaela Kissell and Catherine Kellner at 9:00 am Sunday.
