No. 15 ODU Falls Short at No. 2 North Carolina

DURHAM, N.C. - Senior goalkeeper Kelly Driscoll (West Chester, Pa.) made a season-high 13 saves, but the Old Dominion field hockey team fell, 4-0, at No. 2 North Carolina Friday evening.

Driscoll was only one save off her career-high which was set last season against James Madison on October 9. The Lady Monarchs (2-5) were unable to get on the scoreboard though, tallying one shot in each half. Senior Kathleen Shea (Elizaville, N.Y.) registered both of ODU's shots, getting one on goal.

UNC (8-0) was paced by Danielle Forword, who scored two goals. The Tarheels got off 24 shots, including 18 in the second half.

Old Dominion will play its fourth straight road game on Sunday, competing at No. 10 Duke. The game, which will be the sixth straight for the Lady Monarchs against a Top 10 opponent, is set to begin at 1 p.m.
