Tampa, Florida - United Soccer Leagues announced ODU rising sophomore Nick Foglesong (Fredericksburg, VA.) has been selected to the Team of the Week for the 10th week of action in the Premier Development League.
Included in this week's honorees is PDL Piranhas midfielder Nick Fogelsong for his dominating performance in midfield that included one goal against West Virginia on July 4th.
Fogelsong is the second member of the PDL Piranhas to receive Team of the Week honors. Midfielder Kevon Harris was named on June 3 for his exceptional play against the Carolina Dynamo on May 30.
Fogelsong, scored the first goal of the West Virginia match unassisted.He also scored a goal in the Piranhas season finale, 3-2 win over the NorthernVirginia Royals.
The Hampton Roads Piranhas earned nine points in just five days and ended their 2009 season just a few points out of a playoff spot in the Mid-Atlantic Division. A total of five points separated the second, third and fourth place teams as the season ended with the Piranhas finishing fourth with a record of 8-5-3 and 27 points.
