COLLEGE STATION, Tex. -- Old Dominion senior Aleksandr Seleznev was eliminated from the 2009 NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championship today, after dropping a 6-2, 6-4 decision to 9-16 seed to Connor Pollock (Texas A&M). The Monarch senior will join Tobias Fanselow on the court tomorrow for doubles action beginning at 1:00 pm EST.
Seleznev wraps up his senior campaign with a defeat to the 17th ranked player in the country. He posted a 29-10 record in singles action, improving to 99-33 overall in his career.
He will join sophomore Tobias Fanselow at Mitchell Tennis Center at Noon locally for the first round of the doubles tournament. The Lady Monarch tandem of senior Charleen Haarhoff and sophomore Nadine Fahoum will also play in doubles action tomorrow at the 2009 NCAA Tennis Championships.
