NORFOLK, Va. -- The NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Subcommittee has selected the 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams that will compete in the 2009 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships, including the top doubles tandem for Old Dominion, senior Charleen Haarhoff (Durban, South Africa) and sophomore Nadine Fahoum (Haifa, Israel). The pair earned the Colonial Athletic Association's automatic bid in doubles action and will compete at Texas A&M University, May 20-25.

The singles and doubles competition will be conducted May 20-25 at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas, following the conclusion of the team championship (May 15-19). Texas A&M University, College Station will serve as host.

All matches shall be the best of three sets. Regular scoring and a 12-point tiebreaker at six games all will be used for all matches.

Haarhoff and Fahoum rank 56th according to the most recent ITA rankings. The Lady Monarch duo have gone 25-7 in doubles action so far this season, including an 11-3 mark at No. 1 and a 12-match winning streak in the fall that earned them a trip to the ITA East Regional Championship.

Both Lady Monarchs were named to the First Team All-CAA Doubles Team earlier this month, while Fahoum also was named to the First Team All-CAA Singles and Haarhoff earned Second Team Singles honors.
