Sherman Hoyt Trophy Brown University/Edgewood YC October 25-26, 2008
FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:Saturday: A great day of racing with Southeast winds starting out at 6-10 knots andgoing south and building to 12-20 knots for the second half of the day. Allcourses were W4's with offset and leeward gates. Two DSQ's and one redress given.
Sunday: Beautiful weather with temps in the 60's. Wind was very shifty andunstable from the NW to the W/SW at 3-8 knots. Periods of the day with no breezeand lots of delays. Strong current made for lots of general recalls. W4 and W3courses with offset and leeward gates. No protests filed. Vermont and Brownqualify for ACC's from NEISA (BC, Roger Williams, and Conn qualified at theDanmark). Congrats to Roger Williams on winning both divisions and the ShermanHoyt Trophy.
