GREENVILLE, SC-- ODU senior Jeffrey Long (Centreville, VA.) shot a 71 today to finish at 148 and tied for seventh at the 40th annual Furman Intercollegiate. He finished just three strokes behind the tournament medalist Austin Reeves of Furman who won on a playoff after finishing at 145.
As a team, the Monarchs took fifth with a 36 hole score of 609. East Carolina wonthe tournament at 595, one stroke better than Furman and Virginia Tech.
ODU freshman Thomas Wilde tied for 20th at 152, while Eric Onesi and Neil Hedersonfinished at 155 and tied for 39th.
the Monarchs return to action, April 6-7 at Wyoming Classic in Scottsdale, Arizona.
