ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Lady Monarch sailors are in tenth place at the Navy Spring Women's Regatta, after seven completed races in both divisions. ODU posted 117 points on the first day, with a seventh place, 50-point effort from junior Katrina Williams and sophomore Ashley Pellerito in A division.
Williams and Pellerito won a race and finished in the top ten in six of the seven completed races for the seventh place finish in A division. The 50 points is just 18 back of the division-leading Tufts team, with 32 after day one.
In B division, sophomore skipper Morgan Wilson sailed with rookie Arianna Baker and finished with 67 points on the first day. The pair were 11th in B division, 26 points out of a top five slot.
Old Dominion's 117 total points after seven races is just one point ahead of William Smith for 11th, but is also just 15 points out of fifth.
Racing will continue on Sunday, with ODU just 15 points out of the top five.
